Linda Linda LindaWhen she was five, Linda Blair had to be accustomed to being in the spotlight, first as child models and later acting in the role of an actress when out of a field of nearly 600 candidates she was chosen to play the role of Regan, the child that was possessed and actress on the screen in The Exorcist (1973). Linda Blair rose quickly to fame and won an award called the Golden Globe. She was scheduled to be awarded an Academy Award. But when the story leaked that some part of her roles were recorded and that a stunt dummy acted for only eight seconds of the film, her dream fell apart. Over the next few years, she was able secure lead part in a range of motion pictures. These included the successful television films Born Innocent and Sarah T. The - Portrait of a Teenage Alcoholic as well as Exorcist II - The Heretic. After she snagged cocaine due to social pressure when she was 18 this resulted in the arrest of her and three years probation. This highly-publicized drug bust led Linda to be banned from Hollywood, and her work was eventually reduced to B-movies and occasional TV guest appearances.
