Amy Amy Janet JanetAubrey Plaza, born June 26, 1984, is an actress and comedian well-known for her characteristic deadpan sense of humor. Plaza is April Ludgate in "Parks and Recreation". After performing improv and sketches at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater she began her career on "The Jeannie Tate Show" and then appeared in "Funny People", "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World", as well as other web-based series. Today is her birthday. Aubrey Christina Plaza, daughter of financial expert David Plaza and attorney Bernadette Plaza, was born in Wilmington Delaware. Plaza is Puerto Rican and her mother is Irish, English and Irish. Plaza received her education from an all-girls Catholic high school that she attended in 2002 and then the Tisch School of the Arts located at New York University in 2006. She was president of her student body at her high school and participated in Wilmington Drama League productions during her senior years. When she was in her 2nd year at college, Plaza was struck by a stroke. It caused her to suffer from expressive aphasia as well as a time of paralysis. Today, she's fully recovering.
